History of Bibliographic Instruction and Information Literacy

I have so far learned about the history of Bibliographic Instruction and Information Literacy and the changing terminology. and the teaching methods involve lecture, demonstration, emphasis on presenter and in IL is the collaborative design,

delivery and assessment of instruction by the librarian, is integral to and integrated into classes and curriculum

and the teaching methods involve creating learning environments where librarians and faculty function as coaches or guides.
The transition from BI to IL has taken place as early as 1981 and in the late 1980s and  mid- 1990s the scope of the teaching librarian changed due to the advent of computer, electronic databases and the explosion of the internet.
